DJI ban update from the New York Times

Do a deep dive into Stefanik’s association with Skydio and Skydio’s involvement with drones in Ukraine.

Every bit of this is trumped up political theatrics that have no basis in fact or reality.

American made drones are simply not within the reach of prosumers and never will be. This is simply a ploy to remove drones from US skies unless you are a deep pocket business.

Hit the nail right on the head.

It's political ,NEVER have I heard Trump wanting to ban DJI ,Trump is a common since person ,but the Demo-rats will spin ********
Trump? His many sycophants try to impress him with meaningless actions to show loyalty to a man they fear because he can call them out if they don't bend the knee.Bully tactics by a little man.

"But over time, DJI products would fade away in the United States, as customers would not be able to repair or replace them. American drone manufacturers would use that time to catch up with DJI’s technology and gain a foothold in the global market, said Michael Robbins, chief executive of the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International.
If you remove the juggernaut of DJI from the marketplace, you are going to see a lot of American companies thrive,” he said."

I understand the concept of thriving without the competition from DJI, but what American company is even trying to compete in the consumer drone market? It's the enterprise market they are after because of bigger margins. DJI has drones in both markets. My Mini 2 does everything I need it to do. I'm a recreational flyer and plan to stay in that space, but others who use their Mavic Pro # or Mini # Pro for things like real estate listings, property surveys, etc will be out of luck. Even Sydio pulled out of the consumer market in favor of the enterprise and military markets. What? DJI goes away and they'll get back into the consumer market? It wouldn't take them long given they already were there. Is it possible they already have products to go market as soon as a DJI ban were to take effect? But then there's the cost. Ban or no ban they can't compete there. So, as usual, the consumer gets screwed.

One man's opinion.

You seem to share Trump's talent for misspelling, poor punctuation, and comments that contain more playground name calling than substance. But if you insist on amusing yourself with name calling, consider upgrading to Demon-rats.

I wish I could give more than one "like" on this.
