In June 2025, President Trump signed executive orders targeting foreign-made drones to boost domestic manufacturing and address national security concerns. He didn't have to use the letters "D", "J", "I".
You can't blame one party or the other on this. The FY2025 NDAA mandated that a U.S. national security agency to complete a formal security audit of DJI by December 23, 2025. That bill passed with bipartisan support.
The bill was introduced and sponsored by one side and the decision about whether a security audit will even be made rests with the current administration on that same side.
It was a sneaky way to proceed - calling for a security audit and implementing a ban if there's not an ok from the security audit, but assigning no responsibility for the audit. So, it's entirely possible that the audit will not be done because no on is assigned to do it and the ban will go into effect.
Oh, you don't want to take the lid off that can. The wormy statistics about firearm violence deaths, mass shootings, and the number one cause of deaths of American children under age 18 are liable to crawl out.
I have zero problem dealing with the worms in that can, nor the fictitious facts people try to quote.
You may very well be content with those unpleasant wormy realities. I would hope not, but perhaps you are. I'm not.
As for the statistics themselves, I'll be happy to provide valid, fact-based references for each of those items if you'd like.
Doesn't matter 'cause you can't one anyway. I could ask what do you want a drone for?
If i wanted one i could join the army that's what they are intended for not clay shooting or hunting deer's o by the way no mas shooting this year

That is not completely accurate. Representative Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) co-sponsored the bill. The bill passed the House with broad bipartisan support.
There is no question about Stefanik sponsoring the amendment that would benefit Skydio and Joe Bartlett, a former advisor to Stefanik, now leads federal policy at Skydio.
