I wrecked my Avata 2 a couple days ago, so I made a claim through DJI Care Refresh for a replacement. I have never claimed on the insurance. I paid the $49 and expected DJI to send me a shipping label. Instead, they sent this: "We regret to inform you that due to material shortages, the repair, replacement, Express, and Flyaway services for certain models in the United States are anticipated to take approximately 60-90 calendar days or longer."

Customer service was useless, and they are basically holding my $49 hostage for 60 to 90 days or maybe forever. Customer service claims they will notify me when the supply issue is resolved. So, apparently I'm expected to wait 2 or 3+ months and remain hopeful that they reach out to me. Tariffs don't even apply to insurance claims. Something glaringly sketchy is going on in Communist China.

BEWARE!!!! You might as well buy your insurance through another company because DJI's is useless if you need your equipment in a timely manner.

From what I understand DJI is not honoring Refresh in the USA at all but are offering a refund for the refresh

That is not DJI's fault. DJI is known for great product support BUT then came the anti-Drone lobby My suggestion.....Send this letter to your Government rep.

I have always loved DJI products. It’s the lack of clarity that is frustrating. Let’s hope you don’t wreck yours and find out.

Also, the clerk at my local camera shop told me that DJI isn’t sending them products for resale anymore.
This is true but not because DJI doesn't want to send them. It's because DJI drones are simply not getting thru, *someone* is not letting them reach their intended destination; they are being intercepted and either confiscated/seized/returned. At some point the sender has to wise up and get the message and stop sending.

Last month, I sank my Mini4pro into a lake. Took 12 hours but was able to retrieve it. Needless to say but totally dead. I submitted a Refresh care request. They sent me a shipping label and I paid my $65. About 7 days later I received a replacement brand new drone and replacement battery.
Yes I am in the US and yes I acknowledged the warning that it may be 60-90 days due to shortages. I rolled the dice and won. I received a shipment from Canada and once again DJI pulled through.

I would disagree. DJI support received my Air 3s yesterday. Gimbal failure. Although I do have Care Refresh repair was covered under warranty. In less than 48 hours they repaired my Air 3s and I will receive it on Friday of this week. Less than 48 hours they repaired turn around. If they could get you a drone they would.

...but you will get a replacement drone, correct? Not the same one you sent in but repaired, right?

I will post on Friday if it was a replacement or repair. All of the correspondence referred to repair.

DJI, and to my understanding only them, are being blocked for shipping into the USA. There's talk of something changing first of next year but who really knows. When my RefreshCare was up for renewal a month or so ago, there was a small overpayment so they cancelled the transaction and said to do it again for the correct price. It didn't work and they said it might take a couple of days for the cancel and keep trying. After several days they told me the program was no longer available to me and a month later I had a flyaway. But I guess it was a blessing since folks like you have told me it's useless now!

Could be based on what they have available to repair/replace here in the US now. Customs is blocking all of the DJI drone stuff for about a month or so now is my understanding. That's why nothing of theirs is available on the USA website with cameras in it. I can't find anything that explains why they are being blocked, plenty of rumors though!

First US customs has claimed without evidence that DJI has made their drones and other products in violation of "The Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (H.R. 6256)" DJI has show evidence3 to the US government that this is not true but customs is not letting anything through. There is also the attempt in congress to ban DJI drones, mainly due to lobbying by a US drone company that wants US government contracts. The excuse used, like the one with TIkTok is the Chinese government could spy on the US with these tools. Funny how TikTokhas survived because somebody in Gov. likes them, now.
I think both actions are working together to get some sort of deal out of DJI, financial or otherwise. Dji has nowhere to go to help with the refresh, it is not there fault

will see at the last minute when they give that special someone a grand gift.
I think it's going to happen too with China but it's not DJI specific. Hopefully DJI benefits when the US makes up with China as a country. Unlike Intel, DJI is probably about 1/10 of the size.
