DJI Flysafe says they are longer locking restrictions 1 mile from a regional airport

I have a real estate photo gig coming up that is about a mile from a regional airport. As I've done numerous times in the past I got a LAANC approval first, then went to DJI Flysafe to get an unlocking code for my Mavic 2 Pro. Business as usual. Yesterday I discovered that the DJI Flysafe no longer displayed the zones in question that needed unlocking... Furthermore, they said that it was no longer required, and that there are no flight restrictions on the drone per DJI. When I zoomed out on the map I saw that the entire metro Atlanta area had no DJI flysafe geozones highlighted at all. I did my research here and everything I read said that DJI has washed their hands of their previous geofences... Have I missed something? Is this the case with DJI in the US? I guess I'm just reaching out for confirmation on this or did I totally misunderstand... scratching my head a little on this one 🤔

@MavicAir2Marc before careful on that website you linked above. I saw this malware popup when I followed your link:

Just a heads up because I got caught by this hard.... Be sure to go in to your Aircraft Unlocking Licenses (via your controller) and turn them off if you still have any active. Failing to do that kept my Mav3 Pro and Mini 4 Pro from being able to climb above the previously set altitude limit. Made me crazy. er.

I just did a google search and that link popped up in a couple places. Sorry about that!

Wow, never would have thought of that one... Thanks for the heads up!
I spent hours trying to figure out why two of my 7 DJI drones would not fly over some low setting. Two Chats with DJI support got nowhere, nor did a conversation in their forums but finally a third chat armed with proof that it was their drone doing it got to the bottom of it. When they killed the geofencing they should have entirely disabled the permission stuff so this didn't happen to me or anyone. oh well..back to normal now.

I haven't had time for checking out the geofencing on our Mavic 2 Pro here yet but soon I'll be heading out to try it out.

What is the number of the latest update? I did the update on the controller and it updated to ...1.33. When I search what the latest update is, AI says 1.38. I tried flying the drone in a restricted area and it's not flying. There are no unlocking licenses on at the moment.

Connect your controller to your computer and run the latest version of the DJI software to update it.

Thanks. Do I use the DJI Assistant to do this? I'm hoping I can download it onto the computer. This is a company drone/computer. I may need admin help. But DJI Assistant will have it? And since the Mavic 2 Pro is old, do I use an older version of DJI Assistant?

In the camera view, open the settings ("..." at the top right), go to About, and tap Check for Updates below FlySafe Data.

you might need to check with DJI support. You can talk to somebody there. I don't know if older drones require older versions but I doubt it.

I did the updates in the controller, but it's not updating to the latest version. It's stopping on 01.00.01.33. The DJI Go 4 app version is 4.3.60.
The version likely differs between apps. As long as you updated while the drone was connected to DJI GO 4, then you should be on the latest available version.

After updating all of the software, I tried to fly in an "Enhanced Warning Zone", prior Restricted Zone, with LAANC approval, but the drone wouldn't take off. Said I was in a No-Fly Zone. I don't have any unlock requests active on my controller.

It sounds like you've done everything you're able to do. Try reaching out to DJI support for help.
