FYI. I noticed an update for DJI GO 4 dated 23 Feb 2017. I installed it. All my previous problems with my Samsung S7 Edge (Android 7) and the DJI GO 4 disappeared! I was using Litchi because the previous version of DJI GO and DJI GO 4 crashed every time on my phone! I almost bought an iPad Mini 2 or similar small tablet to fly. Glad I waited. They activated Live Streaming on Facebook too. Haven't tried it yet. Fingers crossed DJO GO 4 keeps working.

Update: Flying on 25 Feb with my third battery and my phone's screen started to lag badly. Menus would not close and then it just locked up. Controller still functioned with the Mavic in a hover. I rebooted my phone, clear the local cache and reconnected. All was normal again.

Very glad to read this. Owned a P3A for over a year now. Been contemplating pulling the trigger on a MP for several months. Hesitated due to repeated postings about issues with the Android app as well as camera/gimbal problems. I use a dedicated S7E as my flight device. Ordered a Mavic Monday and got the shipping notification today. Fingers crossed everything turns out ok.

I flew this morning with DJI Go 4 and Litchi. Powered the Samsung S7 Edge after [starting] connecting the controller and cable. No problems with either app. Waiting for the others to confirm. Enjoy your Mavic Pro!

Got my mavic this week and have had zero issues so Far with both DJI GO 4 and Litchi and a Samsung S6. Pretty slick machine! Maybe they got some of the bugs sorted out!

There is a graphical glitch when using the latest (23rd Feb) DJI Go 4 app on a Tablet. (Samsung 10.1 inch Tab A T580) On the upper right side, were the current Video/Camera setting are shown... the text cuts at the bottom. The glitch was not present on the previous version. (luckily I have a Titanium Backup of the previous DJI app version) Anyone seen the glitch?

I use the 10.1" Galaxy Tab S and never noticed any problems while flying last week. This issue with the text cut off in the new version... have you noticed any adverse affects to the operation or is it just cosmetic?

Is everybody still using the bottom USB connection when attaching an Android device? I would like to use the side connection because the cord management is better. However, everything I read on here says to use the bottom USB.

Josh,

Do you have the problem of RC draining power to Samsung S6?

I am not Robert but my S7 Edge is not charging from the RC. The first time you connect it asks about charging or connecting (I believe the choices) and I didn't choose charging.

Thanks for reply. It seems phone manufacturers taking care of this issue that I have with Nvidia Shield K1

App crashed a lot today while flying with. K1 tab, still looks nice when it doesn't crash

It would still charge, or at least power itself off the remote.

However, everything I read on here says to use the bottom USB.
Never read even once about that. Side connector is perfectly fine.

I've been using the controller's side micro-USB port with a Galaxy S7 on every flight since I got my MP over a month ago.

No problems with the cord, the S7 or DJI Go 4. None. Litchi also runs perfectly.
