Wondering since upgrading to the DJI GO 4.0 app how many have deleted the original DJI GO app. I want to delete it but not sure if I'm losing anything by doing so.

I deleted mine, they took the support for Mavic out so I did not see any reason to save it (it would also eat my battery.)

No problem deleting it...GO 4 is a standalone app, and doesn't "borrow" anything from the GO app. The only point in keeping both apps, is if you also have something like a P3 that you want to fly with the same tablet.

If you have an DJI OSMO, be sure to keep it as your pictures and video's are stored within the app...
The DJI GO 4 app does not include OSMO support !!!
My friend lost a whole day of OSMO shots thinking that the GO 4 app would also support the OSMO !

Surely the app only stores low res versions....what happened to his micro sd card?

Edit. I think you mean he couldn't use his Osmo at all.....muddled thinking on my part.;)

No, no, you are right, my bad, I meant OSMO Mobile, where you use your iPhone as the camera...
The DIJ app does not store the videos and pictures in the camera roll but in the app itself...
You have to export them to the camera roll, which is kind of stupid btw, I think.
So, if you erase the app, before exporting, you loose the videos and pictures.
It sounds as an evidence when you read it but he just removed DJI GO thinking that DJI GO 4 would just replace it, keeping access to the recordings, but no joy and too late...
I posted this to warn people about his mishap
