The Go apps do not support the Mini. Only the DJI Fly app is compatible at this time.
You also NEED to check your phone is comaptible, DJI Fly- DJI Download Center- DJI
if you will have to get another to run the app I'd suggest looking at Apple stuff. Android stuff tends to drain the battery too quickly for my taste. There is apparently a work around Mavic mini controller keeps charging my android phone.
