As implied in this post title, i saw somewhere that the dji drone batteries (the video i watched was talking about the dji mini 3 pro, but assuming it was the same behaviour for all dji batteries) were disactivation the auto-discharge when the battery is connected to either the drone itself or the charging hub
Is this real ? i use the charging hub as a battery transportation case, and it makes no sense to me that such a usefull feature, that is also a security one, would be disabled at all

With 3 different DJI drones and 13 IFB's used regularly over the last 5 years, I have found that the auto-discharge feature is active regardless of whether the battery is in the drone: stored in the transit pack or in the mini 3 pro charging hub. The only variable setting I've found is the ability to alter the period of time (between 2 days and 10 days) that the battery will retain full(ish) charge before it starts to drain (Mavic 2 series through the GO4 app).

Auto-discharge can be a pain sometimes, but as a lipo safety feature.... anyone who *might* be able to circumvent it would need their head looking at.

Never heard of that. There used to be a bug on the mini2 batteries where the opposite happened and they'd get drained too much if left in either the charging hub or aircraft but that was fixed by a firmware update long ago.

I still see recent postings about the mini 2 chargers.

Which do still come with the mini 4k, they‘re the same. I don‘t trust them until someone can give me proof that it is fixed.

Edit: support told me its fixed, will need to try

The mini 2 charger and mini 4 charger are totally different in design, the M4 is taller and more square the M2 is slim and oblong shape, and yes they discharge in either the quad, the charger or just left on the side, it starts about 2 days after charge when they drop to 95% then slowly over 10 days or so go down to storage level.

I swear to god all the time people write about MINI 4K people get confused and say ape try to put the circle thing in the square hole. What else do you need to proof that you‘re plain wrong here?

Mini 4K, its the new kid on the block. Fresher than Mini 4 pro but still O3 and all the mini 2 accessories fit.

Revisiting the subject, I tend to agree I have't had a problem either, but here is a link I found yesterday by accident.
