2 Pro DJI M2P caught in a storm

Wow, that was a brown pants moment! Great footage

Would it have made sense to drop to a lower altitude to try to get out of any wind before heading back to you? Just a thought

John

If I had indeed came back home with brown pants and completely soaked, my mother in law would have told me : "I told you that droning was a dangerous business" :p

Makes sense your comment about the altitude, but :
- Didn't really know if it was the case - From my appreciation, at 20 meters or 50 meters was the same
- Didn't want when I went over the island to be too close to roof-tops, antennas and church towers because if a sudden gust of wind pushed the drone into another direction, well, guess you get me ...

I took this just the other day when the rain came out of nowhere behind me. I changed my control to Sport mode and sped back.

This is a shot I snapped as my Mavic 2 Pro was rushing back towards me. The parts that are in the rain are the parts in the background that look a bit washed out.
