I recently bought a DJI Mavic and I flew it a couple times already but when I go close to the drone it doesn't move away from me. I thought since there are sensors on the drone it will avoid any obstacle in the way. It wont run into me when I try to move the joystick towards me but if I go closer to the drone, shouldn't the drone itself move back?
Thanks

That’s normal operation. Imagine if you like me and take off from the side of a busy mountain road. When landing I do not want that thing to move unless I tell it to. I can just see it trying to avoid me and moving right into oncoming traffic. Trust me this is the way you want it.

Now if you are in an intelligent flight mode like active track, the Mavic WILL move out of the way if it detects something moving towards it. I suppose this is because you have given it authorization to move on its own without user input.

Hope this helps!

Thank you very much for making me understand and for the reply. It is right that they made it like that otherwise so much could happen. Thanks again.
