DJI Mavic 4 Pro vs. DJI Mini 5 Pro

With all due respect, and I’m NOT trying to be a downer about it, but, what difference does any of this make if we can’t get one here ??

Lots of people have been able to get the 4 pro and other models lately. It wasnt that difficult honestly.

I’ll disagree with you there. Everyone is having to deal with the craziness that that madman is imposing on the world in one way or another.

Very true, but other countries can still easily get DJI products. Here in the US, it’s next to impossible.

I’d like to remind you that there are more than just DJI products involved. People are losing their livelihoods, others their homes, some are having constitutional rights removed. There are people who’ve served for your country being denied rights. The man can’t even take a joke without trying to have the joker lose his job!

That's the key part for me, I don't think people realize the lives being destroyed and the devastation he is causing for people and their families. From the outside, they see these actions going on but they don't realize underneath the pain and disappointment and the suffering being inflicted by their own government.

I was simply making a comment about how difficult it is to get a DJI drone in America nowadays. That’s all.

If DJI is banned I see no reason on their part to help in any way to ground their customers drones. If they have no corporate presence here, what could the dear leader other than call them names. They have already banned them from government use are trying to stretch that local police and fire if they get any federal money. What are all those farmers that he was a good idea going to do with out the best agriculture drones. Hope that when they break down, they stocked up on those spares.
What gets me the most is the mean spiritedness of everything they do. Customs does not care about the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, or UFLPA that was a charge by Elise Stefanik to show off to the dear leader. The National security claim is such a joke as they save TikTok every month.

But back to the OP question for me I have settled on having both the Mavic 4 and the Mini 5, I see them as the perfect combination.

I am also interested in the Mini 5 Pro. I currently have a Mavic 3, Air 2s (for its SDK capability), and Mini 4 Pro. I actually fly the Mini 4 Pro the most, especially since I have the RC Pro 2 controller now. I think in my case, the Mini 5 Pro might come close to replacing the Mavic 3, except for its wind resistance and adjustable aperture.

As for commenters who are concerned that we won't be able to get them in the US, there are now Mavic 4's in all the different configurations available on Amazon. Hopefully the Mini 5 Pro will be, too.

When we get closer to the "ban" date, I'm sure we'll have more honest conversation about the topic. Sad that we have people still talk about what the government can and cannot do when it's clear the government can do whatever they want whenever they want. How anyone can claim "it can't be done" is astonishing. Personally I don't think the drones will be grounded because that's not necessary to enforce a ban. There are other methods.

And I was making the point that in the big scheme of things, it’s JUST a drone, not the end of the world and the madness doesn’t just affect the USA.

I totally agree, it IS just a drone. I’m just a recreational flyer. So I really don’t “need” a top of the line DJI drone. It’s more of me NOT being able to GET a drone that I may want, here in the “Land of the Free”. And I also totally agree that our new “Supreme Leader” here in the U.S. has an influence all over the world. And I might be wrong, but I don’t think he has control over the import policy of items from China coming into England, or other countries for that matter. That’s all I was saying.
