I didn't have a Mavic till the Mavic 3 so I have no gauge of the Mavic Pro

But I've been extremely pleased with the Mavic 3. I almost never fly my Mini 3 Pro anymore. I guess I need to give it a workout 3 or 4 times a year

Not GEO free but that could be could be bypassed. The gimbal is the weak point physically/electrically but great to fly. Cameras have improved so much from 2017 so the Mavic Pro not so good in that respect. I still have mine and fly it well away from people and property.

It was and is still is GEO free, but not NFZ free, and NFZ's only affected airports, but apparently not military bases. On my maiden voyage, I had to ditch land on one when a headwind prevented me from returning over the ocean along the coast, and the only dry land in between me and the drone was apparently on a military base. Back then, they even drove me in to let me retrieve it, letting me take it home, and only wanted the unpublished video of the flight that I shared with them through YouTube Tube (showing no nefarious intent) deleted! Those were the good old days! It probably helped that the woman base commander's husband had wanted the same drone for Xmas, but it was still on backorder! LOL!

All I have is a M1P. I got it used for about $500 several years ago. I have 5 batteries for it as well. I did install the NLD software which removed the NFZ's and altitude restrictions. I do have an external RID so I can be legal (if I want to be).

Not GEO free; but can be deal with. Also, not RID free either. Had to buy a RID module when they were expensive. Can be had for $36 now. I mount the RID on my P4P too.

HI Greg. Could you please tell me what RID and GEO stand for. I too have a stable of Mavics and a Mini including the Mavic 2 Pro.

been flying m1p and litchi missions for years and that was so i could see out there futher than i will say but here in the country it sure has been a time saver looks like those days are coming to an end ****

RID = Remote ID which is required on all drones over 249gms. (USA only, I think). Newer drones have it built in.
GEO = Geo Fencing, which DJI built in to drones which disables even the motors from starting when you are in a no fly zone; like around an airport, it keeps drones from flying in restricted areas. Can be disabled by going to DJI site, but difficult to do.
