Hi all,
Yesterday I went around a beautiful lake to practice active track mode with my DJI mini 3 pro while I was kayaking, well that was a bad idea because the lack of side sensor caused a crash on tip of tree and the aircraft end up fallen in the fresh water lake and had a chance to see the bottom of lake for about less than 5 min, I removed the battery right after the recovered it, and both battery and aircraft dispensing fresh water for 10 min or so, after all shaking presses done, I dried them up hair air dryer, put them in separate zip lock bag with bunch of Silica Gel for about 24 hours, I test the air craft with another battery and I noticed every thing is just normal with connection and flying even I record some good quality video and nothing wrong with controlling it, that been said, I did noticed that as soon as I inserted the battery the aircraft turned on by itself and since then no matter what battery I used, the aircraft won't turned off, after second press and hold the turn ON/Off button the light bar start counting down and then came up aging until I remove the battery and it get so hot...
I already updated the newest firmware but it didn't help out.
please if anybody knows what's going let me know, I don't have DJI care and there is no warranty left since I purchased it more than year ago.

thanks for any help

Sorry to hear. Not sure I can help answer your concerns but unfortunately with that kind of behavior after the exposure to water and that kind of damage, it's only a matter of time before the drone fails completely even if you were able to temporarily restart and fly it again.

Appears that there's still water inside shorting out a contact, opening the drone to continue the drying procedure may be required. Check youtube videos for how-to. The wet battery cannot be saved.

^^This. I've seen exactly this problem posted here before after a similar incident. Thoroughly drying the aircraft inside and out fixed it.

Try setting it near the output of a portable forced-air space heater (i.e. one with a fan), facing in to the airflow. keep it far enough that the air at that distance is pretty warm, but not hot.

I have a similar story with a happier ending...

This past summer I was vacationing with my brother and his family at our family's lakeside cabin. My brother was pulling people on various water toys behind his boat and I was on the dock videoing with my drone. The battery life got down to about 5 minutes so I quit recording and started flying the drone back to me. The drone was in "Sport" mode so obstacle avoidance was off and flying about 10-15 feet above the water back to me when I turned away for a second to look at something. I turned back to look at the screen on the remote just in time to see the drone crash into the lake. I didn't see exactly where it crashed in the water, but I had an idea based on where I was flying just before it crashed.

My 13-year old nephew grabbed a stand-up paddle board and went out to about where I thought drone went down. After about 30 minutes of looking he found the drone at the bottom of the lake. The area he found it was about 15' deep. He said when he found it the indicator lights were still flashing so he pulled the battery.

When he got back to shore, I immediately borrowed the neighbor's air compressor and blew out as much water as I could. Then I stored it in a bag of rice overnight. The next morning I pulled it out of the rice and placed it in direct sunlight all day. That evening I put a battery in the drone, crossed my finger and said a quick prayer, and powered up the drone. It turned on, connected to the remote, went through it's start-up diagnostics, and said it was ready to fly! I flew it around for about 10 minutes and everything worked: the obstacle avoidance, the gimbal on the camera, the camera itself, everything! As far as I can tell, there has been no lingering effect. Even the battery that was in the drone at the time still works and holds a charge. I was shocked, not to mention extremely happy I didn't have to go buy a new drone.

lake water it can be repaired but salt water its is a paper weight electrolis fried it that is an awesome story and save with the price of these creatures
