I'd like to by a Mini 5 Pro thru 102_store00, total price is $1263.38 at checkout. I noticed on the ad for the drone it says "Due to US customs policies, the buyer of this item will need to pay import fees to the shipping carrier prior to delivery." Is this the tariff I will need to pay to get it in the US? If it is how much additional will that be? I'm confused, could the $1263.38 price go up? Thanks

When I see that on an advert I go and look for a different seller. Here in the UK there’ll often be a flat administration fee added to any import fees. Look for somewhere that gives you the price delivered.
As for how much you could pay, that depends on what is declared by the seller on the customs declaration and what the customs agents decide.

Depending on shipper, From S. Korea Around 500 U.S. to Texas. So 1700 for your Mini..WAY too much!

Not charged any additional fees

Purchased on eBay via the 102_store
Price included any additional tariff charges

Mini 5 Pro combo
Ordered 9/20 Arrived 9/25

RC Pro 2

Yes, but the seller is apparently no longer stating "price includes all additional tariff charges." Seller is now disclaiming any responsibility for them, making the buyer responsible for them. Depending upon whether the seller is doing anything to minimize those tariffs, the additional tariffs could be substantial, or even zero.

I have bought from them and I think you are reading the EBAY notice that is on all vendors pages, it looks they are out of stock on the version you want but the others still say this lowering in the add

Yes, if this seller is still stating that, you can rely upon it. It supersedes the generic eBay notice.

If you'll notice, the China sellers do not have this generic eBay notice on their listings. I have yet to test it but I don't believe the delivery service being used by shipments coming from China involve additional customs fees or tariffs. You never know from day to day with the negotiations but either the China (non) tariffs are working off some sort of suspension or else the CCP is paying the tariff for their domestic merchants; the latter wouldn't surprise me. Which is why I am about to place an eBay order for M5P batteries from China/HK in time for Nov 1.

Of course you'll be ordering the M5P standard batteries that don't broadcast RID, right? LOL!

I might get one just to have one but the little price difference can't justify not getting the Plus for the performance.
Exactly! Now that the cat is out of the bag, except in the EU, no one will ever buy a standard Mini 5 Pro battery again!

I bought a DJI RC Pro 2 on eBay from a Chinese shipper and did not have to pay additional tariff in September. Most Chinese sellers seem to have dropped off eBay currently.

I still see quite a few Chinese sellers but not as many in the drone business as Korea and Japan. However, that's probably going to change soon:

• The US has reached a framework agreement with China to avoid imposing an additional 100% tariff on Chinese imports, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in interviews this morning. Beijing’s negotiators have also signaled a potential breakthrough in the trade talks.

Heads up: I ordered a $167 set of DJI filters on eBay from a Chinese seller on September 30th plus $30 for shipping, which included the representation, "This item includes applicable import fees—you won’t pay anything extra after checkout." They arrived via Fed Ex on October 10th. Normal.

Yesterday, I received a separate billing from FedEx for 55% tariffs on this purchase! Fortunately, the seller fraudulently claimed the value as $25 rather than $167, so the amount due is only $18. Had this been a $4,000 Mavic 4 Pro Creator Combo, we'd be having a very different discussion!

Wow, thanks for letting us know. First I've heard of this but not surprised since the representation is "eBay" and the seller says "You are responsible." Does your listing happen to say this?

l Invoice Adjustment Service(Save Import Taxes)
How We Help:
We offer dual-value invoices to optimize customs declarations:

  • Commercial Invoice: Shows the actual paid amount (for payment verification).
  • Customs Invoice: Declares lower value (& classifying under lower-tax HS codes).

Just caught this tread today, Oct 27. I ordered a Mini 5 Pro from that seller on Oct 19 with "no tariff" marked and I did indeed pay no tariff. I have ordered from him in the past too so I think he is reliable and for what ever reason is now having to send them with tariff expected to be paid by the ordering person. But wait.... I see a Mini 5 Pro with no tariff for the ordering person so it must vary from item to item and indeed I see some that are tariff free and others that are not. Buyer beware - but I do trust that ebay store and it's good to see they are marking the individual items as required.
