DJI RC2 controller screen flickering then going black

I recently bought a Air 3s with the RC2 controller and I am having an issue with the screen flickering then going black. It happens when I am flying the drone and when I am just using the simulator on the controller. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like a defect.

Flickering Screens are never a good sign! The controller needs service or get a new one. You could open it up and dig around if you are so inclined you may just find a loose connection but its a crapshoot really.
