Did anyone notice that on B&H you can also get the Square Trade protection for about $21 ? I suppose that would cover damage from any big crash? But it's also a 5th of the whole cost.

Might be a good deal. Brushed motors are guaranteed to fail after a number of flight. Hope they offer replacement motors.

Cute little booger! but what is that cage?

It's overkill of a good idea. Very simple loops would work as a bump guards and raised landing legs. It would only need to be very lightweight plastic.
