DJI Repair Site in California has had my Mini-2 for about 2 weeks for Evaluation, which Support says
they have completed. I sent the Mini-2 to them via UPS. It was not for a Crash or Damage from flying it.
The Software and/Or Firmware last update Ver. 1.2.2 would not allow the Mini-2 to Connect to the Controller.
DJI Support suggested that I send it in for an Eval, which I did. My Question to the Forum is:: Have any of you folks
used the California Site for any Repairs or Evaluations before and waited for 3 weeks or more for DJI to be returned??

I would say the Covid has had some impact on the service turnarounds, they probably have a big backlog from stay at home orders.

I'd agree...you need to be more patient. Not like they can crowd dozens of techs into a room like they used to. :)

I live in the Los Angeles area, not far from the Cerritos facility. We (LA County) are in what is referred to as a Tier 1 Status which means that non-essential indoor businesses are restricted to the level they can operate at safely.

I am finding all kinds of results from the pandemic. I've been unable to get parts for a power washer due to manufacturing being shut down or on skeleton crews. I've been unable to bank as usual, now my bank branch is closing permanently. I've found farm equipment shortages, had to buy quickly as backorders were slow in updating. A cellular camera firm I deal with announced they had to close their repair group for two weeks due to sickness and infections. Parts online are scarce. So, yes, I'd agree that a DJI Repair center could very well be affected.

I sent my ma2 in for non connect to controller. Mid November. The transfer via ups (land) took approx 10 days. Each way. Only took 4-5 days there only to find it was not covered under the warranty from purchase. Surprise! I sent both the mail and the controller. Yes It had been crashed into a tree and using the "find my drone" it had made it to the ground. Find me worked to the square yard. $400.00 later I received a new replacement for both. Needless to say I purchased the refresh package this time. With the pandemic and that we are talking California, the wait, while painfully long was understandable. On the upside, a neighbor who had seen the drone followed me home. He didn't have the time to fly and sold me his phantom 4 pro w/ hard case and %4,000.00 in accessories for a amazing $1,400.00. Spent the time flying it. Still when The replacement arrived I have found the man better. I ramble so yes. It takes awhile!

Wow ...what a deal $4000 in Accessories sounds to good to be true.

I live in a modest middle class neighborhood. This neighbor turned out to be the ceo of a major infrastructure company (underground) working in the southeast U.S. the guy is a multimillion air. Living a down to earth life. Who knew people raise family. He has his expensive toys. High end sports cars and trucks. I think he just wanted someone that would enjoy the phantom with what he had bought. I just got lucky and found a friend to boot. So yeah, I lucked out. All said I still like the man better.
