Drone Nerds has M3 Max T for over $11,000 now. Autel is still the same price; they shipped their entire inventory to the US before tariffs. DJI dropped the ball, as they should have done the same.

Do you mean Drone Nerds dropped the ball? Prices still look the same in the DJI Store.

No, DJI did . Autel shipped their inventory to the US ahead of the tariffs. Order Autel, and it will be in the States and clear of customs at its original price. DJI could have shipped stockpile units to the US in January too.

You're talking about Drone Nerds above, but seemingly blaming their mishap on DJI. What am I missing?

May have something to do with the U.S. not being the one and only market where DJI products end up. From watching product production from DJI for the last several years, whatever sales strategies they use seem to be working well for them. Possibly we just haven’t seen whatever strategy they will implement that involves the current economic challenges.

You are assuming DJI has lots of inventory. Modern manufacturers try keep inventory levels low. Unsold drones sitting on a shelf represent an investment that has not paid for itself and is therefore costing the company money.

DJI OUT OF BUSINESS for selling Mini 4 Pro in USA !!!!

Last December, I ordered a Mini 4 Pro from an Amazon reseller (BIG MISTAKE), who lied about shipping from US warehouse and instead shipped via DHL from Mainland Communist China, and let the drone rot in customs for a month, doing nothing.

I then ordered direct from DJI, who immediately shipped from Hong Kong, via DHL. The drone sat in customs for a week, then rejected. DJI wanted to cancel/refund, but then agreed to ship within a week, via UPS. We were both aware that DJI needed to include documentation with the shipment that the Mini 4 Pro is not made with Chinese Slave Labor, and the units would clear customs.

Six weeks later, DJI shipped via FedEX, but failed to update their ordering website as promised, that would have provided me with shipping information and tracking number. After the Mini 4 Pro sat in customs for two weeks, DJI called me directly, informing me that FedEx needs me to contact them with additional information in order for the package to clear customs. I immediately called FedEx (called twice to confirm, as I did not believe them the first time) , who told me that all was good, no additional information was needed , that the package was released by customs and I should have it in a day or two.

This morning the FedEx web site says the drone is being returned to Hong Kong. I called FedEx, who confirmed that the prior day at 6pm Memphis time, the two other FedEx agents lied to me, as the package was already rejected, with return tracking number assigned, NOT cleared to final destination.

I then called DJI, who said they needed to cancel my months old order, they have no product (Mini 4 Pro) to ship, and are out of business in the US market !!! They can only get small accessories/batteries through customs and can no longer ship drones. I asked them WHY then did not update the web site as promised, to let me know of the shipment, and WHY did they wait to tell me to contact FedEx with required customs clearance information, when customs had already rejected. There was NO reason, answer, explanation, as to why they are not able to ship drone products into US market.
Yeah, calling complete BS since I have bought & received 4 separate drones from DJI that were shipped out of Chine since this post was made. Maybe DJI just hates you!

DJI is clearly not going out of business any time soon. They are an international company, selling internationally. However, they have been, and are having great difficulty getting product into the United States.

In December, I had success in ordering a Refurbished Mini 4 Pro combo kit directly from DJI, and ordered an "in stock" Avata 2 and Air 3S from Adorama which shipped the following day from their store. Similar orders from DJI by others never made it through U.S. Customs, and were returned to DJI. When an authorized DJI dealer truly already has a drone "in stock," (not a pre-order) they have already gotten it through U.S. Customs and can sell it to you at whatever price they post on their website. Bird in the hand. Any order purchased from DJI, regardless of what their website states for an arrival date, is subject to a U.S. Customs hold when it arrives in the U.S., and may never be received. A complete crap shoot.

Officially, DJI is not selling the newest Mavic 4 Pro in the United States at all, and will not honor any DJI warranty on the Mavic 4 Pro in the United States, and they have also disabled the Cloud storage feature of Waypoints in the United States on all drones. DJI Care Refresh obviously is also not available in the United Stares on the Mavic 4 Pro.

Effectively, this means that any Mavic 4 Pro now being sold in the United States is a "gray market" item., ie., international units intended for sale outside of the United States, being acquired through various means by the seller, and sold into the United States, without any manufacturer’s warranty. B&H sells gray market versions of Nikon and Canon cameras all the time, especially when the U.S. warranteed versions are unavailable. Without any manufacturer's warranty, the gray market versions, when available, are usually also cheaper than the non-gray market versions.
