DJI sun shield blocking signal

I recently purchased the DJI sun shield for my MP controller and have noticed a 30% to 40% reduction in range with the signal dropping off rapidly at 400m. I’m in the Uk and using the DJI go 4 app on my iPhone X.

Has anybody seen similar issues and what did you do to resolve the issue and still retain the sun shield

I assume that you have unfolded the antenae (both) per the manual, and have them outside of the sun shield?

If the OP is referring to the DJI hood, the antennas go inside of the hood.

Never saw this puppy before.
So I guess the question really is, does this "reduce" the signal seen by the AC?

One of the reasons I went to the CS. The DJI hood leaves the complete antennae free and it folds to protect the screen.

Yes and the antennas slide inside the hood as per the post below yours.
