do i have to remove the nd filters from the camera before i put the safe case on ?

I can't tell for sure, but if there is any touch, it won't be more than 1 millimeter.

I would, I already have the feeling that the std cover pushes the gimbal backwards slightly, if the filter touches the cover and increases the push back I doubt that's a good thing. I have concerns about the gimbal damper rubbers taking a permanent stretch.
If you can't tell if there is contact I would err on the side of caution.
