Do people take photos or grab stills from 4K video?

I use Lightroom for 99% of all editing. This particular photo is only processed in lightroom.

I sometimes use photoshop for more complex edits, or Nik dfine for noise reduction, but not on this one.

I think an important thing to remember also is that if your grab a frame from a video, then you better want that 16:9 aspect ratio and nothing else. I'm not a huge fan of 16:9 for stills myself, and I often feel that even 3:2 (which is probably the most common for stills) is a bit too wide. I really like 5:4, and the native format of drone sensors (4:3) is pretty close to that.



Another thing (which I guess only applies if you have a Mavic 1), is the ability to take shots in portrait orientation.
