I just acquired a tablet.I may, at times, use my phone (both Android)
-check for updates and apply
-sync flight records
...is there anything else to consider?

First off I have two drones which I rotate ( MM and a MA2) to keep downtime to a min so they have time to cool down. I also rotate my iPhone 6s plus as well as the iPad mini for the same reason. Summer heat can be withering.

I am a tablet fan! I only use my iPhone XI if I screw up and forget the tablet. I like a nice big image on my big screen. Apple products are more graphics friendly and intuitive.

I’ve been using IPad for nearly 4 years now. Current tablet is 12.9 IPad. It serves me well to have a larger image when doing inspection work.

I have a Note 8 and an Android tablet. Both work well with my Platinum Pro I. I don't like the tablet obscuring the controller as I am fairly new at this. Otherwise, all is good. Be sure to get a tablet that has a fast enough processor for the controller and Mavic.

I am in need of a larger image due to eyesight issues and wonder if anyone uses the iPad MINI for droning? I have larger pad but just too large! Thx for any info or recommendations!

I just purchased the ipad mini 5 and for. me it's awesome, I chose to get the 256 capacity one so it could be used for a very long time. It has a very solid processor from the the reviews I've seen. It's much lighter than my iPads (apple) that I was using. I also bought it during a sale and paid $488. for it.

When I starting out I went straight to the tablet so obscuring the controller never occurred to me. I went from an IPad10.5 to 12.9. I installed the mav mount for the 10.5 but the 12.9 is too bulky to hang on the controller. I have a 6’ USB C cord. It allows me to setup the IPad as a separate unit. I usually work out of the back of my SUV.

I use an ipad pro 11" and an Iphone 7+ both work flawlessly with the Ipad utilizing a Nav mount
