Does the Mavic Pro have a "Simple" Flight Mode?

Pikhawk & APM Flight Controllers have a "Simple” and “Super Simple” modes allow the pilot to control the movement of the copter from the pilot’s point of view regardless of which way the copter is facing. This is useful for new pilots who have not mastered adjusting their roll and pitch inputs depending upon which way the vehicle is facing and for cases when the copter is too far away that it’s heading is not apparent. Does the Mavic Pro have such a Flight Mode?

This mode is mainly used for new pilots who have never experienced controlled "nose in" flight. Intelligent Orientation Control, Head Lock, Home lock or Course lock are words used that cover this mode. A seasoned pilot, of which I don't count myself, find it difficult to fly in this "beginners" mode as it can be disorientating once nose in has been mastered. With saying that, the Mavic is extremely forgiving to fly, unlike aircraft of the recent past or cheaper models currently available.
To that end, buying a sub $50.00 drone to practice orientation is a must. Generally they are extremely robust and can handle crashes well due to their light weight and malleable plastic frames. When nose in becomes second nature you will have crashed many times! Better to do it with a cheap bullet proof "toy" rather than wreck a Mavic when an easily avoided problem is made worse through a "disorientation panic". I totally understand your reasoning for wanting the facility, but the danger is that new flyers will use this mode and all the other automated modes without getting hands on experience of how to fly the aircraft when there's a real problem that demands a cool head.

You can also use Mavic's tripod mode for training purposes. It is very slow and gives you lots of time for thinking about what to do next.
A further training possibility is using the integrated flight simulator within the GO app.

Haven't mastered "Nose In" Flight yet, mostly spend my time making new drones with the APM. CC3D, Naze32, Pixhawk & Vector Flight Controllers on 250 to 500 mm quads. Am only an average pilot and fry only "Nose Out" as I get a little confused with "Nose In" Flight. The "Simple Mode" in APM/Pixhawk makes it easy for me. Have a few low cost quads on which I should get more hands on experience. Will take your advice. Thanks.

My Mavic has already been delivered to my brother in Portland and should reach me in India in a couple of weeks. Will use the Tripod Mode and Flight Simulator too. Thanks for the inputs.
