I try and be mindful of folks walking their dog near where I am flying. i usually fly as far as i can away from the dog as soon as i see one, and if the dog is upset, I apologize to the owner so as not to add to the distrust folks already have about UAVs. The apology also often alleviates the inevitable stink eye from the dog owner.
