You should check out the Unusual Machines website. They aren't a DJI competitor, and likely never will be if they continue on their current track of selling FPV drone parts.

That's a bit of relief, but businesses do expand into markets that are natural for them. Not saying they're gonna do this - but to me as an avid DJI fan this is ominous news

I'm also an avid DJI fan (of course), and I welcome any new companies who can come to the table and compete. The more, the merrier!

That said, I don't believe any existing drone manufacturer (or drone parts manufacturer) is able to match DJI's capabilities. By the time competitors catch up, DJI will likely have already advanced to the next level.

One indicator of their low potential to compete with DJI is the complete absence of any product information on their website. But their stock price is out there front and center in the largest, boldest font on the page.

They are no doubt targeting a completely different userbase, whether that be FPV drone pilots or investors. Whatever the case, the chances of a single company being the jack of all trades is pretty slim.

It seems to me that UMAC is definitely marketing to investors rather than to drone or drone parts buyers. Their website neither offers or describes any products for sale.

Some companies exist solely to sell themselves and turn a profit. While having money is undoubtedly important and required in this world, it's not particularly fulfilling and doesn't necessarily serve a business's customers well.
