I've been trying to download some maps to my RC2 that I got with the Air 3S FMC and every time after downloading one, I go back in to look at what was downloaded, and it's not showing the area I thought I was downloading. It is in the vicinity, but not even close to what I was shooting for. This is kind of disappointing. Now I need to find out if this is an isolated problem with just my device, or if others are experiencing the same issue. Please check out your RC2's and see if yours are having the same issue. How is this supposed to help me?? It has NOTHING to do with my issue.
I am trying to download maps of the area that I want to fly in to help me navigate the area since the RC2 has no internet connection.

When you try to download an area to fly in, DJI appear to limit you to a relatively small file size and therefore area. The you re-look at the area you have apparently downloaded, you will only see on the map a tiny subset of what has actually been download. I've been dealing with this issue for years but I do find that the area downloaded is much bigger than indicated. As for your "it's not showing the area I thought I was downloading" are you sure it's not just a point in the middle of (or close to) your intended flying area? To be safe I simply download multiple areas around my intend point of flight. Never had an issue doing this and always cover entire flight area.

Richard, thanks for your response. What you described sounds very similar to what I'm experiencing. The area that is shown as being downloaded is in the vicinity of what I'm trying to get, but I'd say it appears to be several hundred yards away from what I'm trying to save.
I've seen several videos on how to download and save maps, but none of them actually go into saved maps to look at what they've saved.
I guess it's just something we'll have to live with. It really hasn't caused me any problems, but it's just not what I'd expect from DJI.
I guess to be on the safe side, I should just connect my RC2 to my phones hotspot when I fly. Although that won't help me when in an area with no cell service.

Just to make sure...
You have to zoom in far enough to see a highlighted rectangle, that's the area that is downloaded, and, Maps Only, NO satelite imagery.
The Offline maps are stored as square tiles in PNG-format.
Each rectangle is saved as 2 square tiles.
DJI Fly Android path:
"\Phone\Android\data\dji.go.v5\files\DJI\tiles"
