Drone lights red/green...odd orientation

Properly situated and coloured navigation lights should be mandatory on drones.
Drives me mad to see the international conventions ignored.
I agree. We are operating AIRCRAFT. The FAA & ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) set standards for AIRCRAFT lighting, which are Navigation/Position lights on the right are green and the left are red and the rear light is white. It's pretty easy, all manner of craft use it, EXCEPT US? How comforting is that??

Practical effect is if you show more proper nav lights i can immediately tell not only where the thing is, i can also tell the exact orientation of it relative to me.
With the same colour lights on both sides and random flashing this is much, much harder.

(That said, i work abroad a lot on boats and most local asian fishing boats have bought some really useful alternate red/green flashing LED nav lights...Good luck sorting that out with 40 boats around you on a moonless night !).
