I see you're down under, so there's no obligation to get your TRUST certificate or register your drone with the FAA unless you plan on coming to the States to fly. Hey Michael, when I saw @Big Bro 's mention of the TRUST Certificate, I thought "Whoa... Did I did that? and I did..." I am sorry, you received a copy of a Welcome Note I wrote to a new member who lives in the USA. And in those USA notes, I inform newbies of the the US requirements, none of which apply to you unless as Big Bro mentioned, you intend to visit the US and even then the requirements are different for a tourist.
Except for the references to the various location specifics, that notes are the same...
