I've visited that church in south east Houston. That's a huge cross seen from miles away.

Maybe they thought it would be clever to land on top then lost signal from below to start again.

pretty awesome, but i'd be hesitant to risk it falling from that coat hanger. i saw an access door on top of the cross... i'm sure it would have been much safer to just ask the grounds-keeper to let him go up and grab it.
