Drone Scanner NOW WORKING!!!

Mavic2 zoom do it still rate as a good drone and why DJI after 2or 3 year seam like it put drones on back burner after costumers spend $1000 on drones ,because I fill later drones should still get new updates, sensors update like vision assist like the newer drone with obstacle avoidance
I had a lot of trouble trying to parse this.

Yes, the Mavic 2 Zoom and Mavic 2 Pro are still good. Updating older drones with newer software can be challenging to impossible. It depends on what your expectations are. You can't add features that require new sensors to drones that don't have those sensors.

I have the drone scanner app installed on my galaxy s10. It picked up my drone and accurately shows its height and location along with my location

My neighbor across the street had a real estate photographer take drone shots. Out of curiosity I pulled out the app and it picked his drone up.

There also is a very annoying drone that will hover over my deck and driveway at lower altitudes making no secret that he was looking at what we were doing. Felt like an invasion or privacy. Thanks to the app, I now know where this person has taken off from at his house. Perhaps I should go into Karen mode and knock on his door????

So it does work and I can understand how it could be used to harass drone pilots. Maybe there are some that should be harassed. Perhaps the moral of the story is never fly from your own yard. I am not keen on how my piloting location can easily be determined.
Location should only be disclosed to proper authorities. This was already the case, not the general public.

It should be handled like everything else...car license plates, plane tail wings, etc.

There's plenty of other ways for the authorities to track a drone IF someone complains of being "stalked".

All an individual needs to do is call the police, have video of the so called alleged drone in their yard or whatever and from their the polive are trained or SHOULD BE to check with the FAA.

It's that simple. But a bunch of politicians who can't even turn a computer on and off let alone their cell phone gets to make these rediculous laws.

The FAA is savvy and always making changes. I know this because I'm a pilot myself and know that eventually there will probably be a ban on the general public knowing a UAV pilots exact location.

I've been a UAV operator and only had two incidents which were easy to resolve by the public.

Also all you have to do is state the law that says it's illegal to distract a UAV pilot per FAA regs. If you don't professionally get a small sign and yes have a mini recorder if necessary ready to go to prove your innocence.

Other than that if you're flying legally and not stupidly no one has nothing to worry about.

It costs significant money to develop these features, and some incremental engineering cost to support them on each model.

Why do you think DJI should give these features to you without you paying for them? Why do you think Mavic 3, Air 3, and Mini 4 Pro customers should subsidize these features on drones no longer sold?

DJI won't fix your drone for free, which seems quite fair, and won't keep spending money on development for it forever either, which also has a ring of fairness to it as well.

Time marches on. Products become obselete. Cars break down, buildings crumble, people die. Nothing lasts forever, including drone model support.

Is drone scanner compatible IOS/iphone
Yes, drone scanner is compatible with iOS.

As for the differences between android and iOS, iOS can only scan for drones using Bluetooth, not Wi-Fi. Android devices can do both. This may be another reason for the issue why some of you are not able to detect drones using your iOS device. I’m using Dronetag’s BS RID module on my M2P’s and my iPhone can detect it further than BLOS using both Drone Scanner and Dronetag software. And no, I didn’t fly BLOS to test the range, I left the drone on top of a wooden post and rode my bike away from it to the point where I couldn’t see it or the big wooden post it was on anymore. That BS RID module will make a good search and recovery module if my drone ever goes down as well.
