DYI Skins Questions

So I've been doing Vinyl for several years My wife and I also run a small home based Vinyl Bizz.

My question is : What thickness vinyl are you all using for your DYI skins?

DecalGirl is one of the more commonly used skin brands. Their skins are 0.127 mm thick.

Would there be a issue in using 3mm thick?

I use this for window graphics..

I use 3M 1080 vinyl, I believe it's 3.5 mil.

It forms easy and works the best that I've tried so far.

If you meant 3 mil, I think that would be fine. DecalGirl skins are 5 mil.
