Editing and previewing All Intra (All-I) footage

Just confirming it's all working on the Apple side now, FCPX and QuickTime Player.
all I can say is it worked OK with my Studio Max 64. The files are so huge that rendering took a while but scrubbing through non-rendered files was flawless so no rendering needed till export. That's the huge difference between All-I and ProRes which, if I'm correct, needed no rendering. In any case, I've had more than one person tell me that it's not a huge bump in quality for the average person (me).

I don't have many buildings around where I live but I have downloaded All-I material of some hotels along a beach strip in Florida for detail. There is a definite improvement in clarity if you look really hard, but for the most part some smart sharpening tools on the post end are a better workflow than shooting massive files for no real reason.

The whole point of All-I and ProRes is that neither needs proxies to be able to scrub through the original files. It's not a compressed format that must be decompressed or converted into proxies to scrub through it for editing purposes. All-I and ProRes are the DNG equivalent of JPEG files. They contain more information that can then be used in the edit to recover blown highlights and detail on otherwise black shadows. If you nailed your exposure and white balance on the take, you won’t see any difference at all. If you didn't, you'll have far more creative possibilities later in ProRes and All-I, just like with a DNG, instead of a baked JPEG.
