I hope this is ok to share...

I started out with a Mini, followed by a Mini 2 (several of them), an Air2S and Mavic 3. However, it was the DJI FPV that rocked my world and got me hooked on flying FPV manually. The learning curve is steep and many hours were spent practicing on a simulator. A few drones later, I finally took the plunge and purchased a used iFlight Chimera 7 Pro.

I flew the Chimera all last summer on flat terrain trying to get a feel for range and handling characteristics. Learning "line of sight" and losing a drone/GoPro/battery etc. made me wary of this new venture. However, I kept plodding forward, determined to obtain some epic footage of the Canadian Rockies...

The footage is raw and unedited with the exception of cropping out a small section where the GoPro had difficulty focusing. I hope you enjoy this flight.

Loved the epic filming of the first light to hit the mountain peak. Beautiful scenery and flying. I am not a fan of FPV but this one was at least tolerable in that it did not swoop rapidly all over the place. I get a nauseous feeling viewing most FPVs.
Can you tell us where this was filmed- I think I saw some ski slopes and a skier in one part.

This was filmed in the Crowsnest Pass, Alberta. There is a small ski hill in the area but I don’t think it’s visible from this particular mountain.

@Crash Pro - Stunning!!! That opening scene is almost like seeing the opening of a Paramount movie, just needed the stars to circle it. I love the red sunlight on the tops of the peaks with shadows around it and the fact the sun seemed like it was peeking through under the clouds. I like the contrast between the light and the dark clouds above. Well Done!!
