Hi pilots!
quick problem, i've done a reasonable search online but haven't exactly found any thing on this particular issue.
I crashed my drone (mavic air) a few months ago and its not under any warranty. The cost of repair was something that i wasnt ready to pay as the new AIR 2 was released so i'm saving for that however i've just turned this drone into a project. i'm spacing it out over a period of time using my free time to tinker with it. maybe i'll fix it, maybe i wont. its actually insanely interesting learning the inner the workings of this kind of tech.
so far i've fixed my previously broken gimbal and camera system. (however i need to figure out how to connect the new gimbal to the main controller as well as this error message : unplug the 8 pin cable connecting the dampening plate to the air craft? does anyone know what and where that is)
I've launched the drone however i'm met with some warnings. one pertaining to the the compass saying that it is disconnected and unable to be calibrated - it goes from saying its either disconnected or that there is too much magnetic interference . (something that i think i can fix however the main issue of this thread is to determine the extent of fixing my rear vision system.)
when i launched it post crash it had said that my rear left and rear right vision systems were in an error. (i'll attach some screenshots) so upon that i installed the dji assistant 2 and tried a calibration on that system on my windows laptop. it loads in the software and i'm able to calibrate my forward vision and my bottom rear system. it loads the rear vision system however im met without the box that you point your cameras at, moreso the camera check in the bottom left is just showing black. i'd assumed this was a fault with a piece of hardware and throughly cleaned it and tried again.. to be met with the same problem. As this is a project, i'm keeping costs minimal. i'd found a working rear vision system online and purchased it for a reasonable price. installed that hardware in the drone and again... same problem. MY intial thoughts are it could be some issues on the esc board were the connectors of the RVS connect onto from under the chassis. moreso it could just be a fault in the software.
Im wondering if anyone else has been met with this kind of problem with their calibration of their vision systems. and any advice would be appreciated! If anyone also has any info on the other issues i'd degressed on in this thread then i'd appreciate that info as well.
