I rarely use explorer mode for photographs. In fact I never have. I use it a LOT in the 4x mode on my Mav3 when looking for wildlife, but yesterday while shooting some nearby hills I decided to take a few shots. Here are four shots taken from my Mavic 3 at increasing "zoom" ranges in Explore mode. Note the shutter speed on the last three was just 1/80 as I had a polarizing ND8 filter on the drone and it was super windy with gusts to 30mph. All in all I think they are pretty reasonable given all the limitations. The original combination of these is 18mb so I exported it in smaller version for posting here fwiw. Lightroom reported the images 35mm equivalent focal lengths a 92. 161. 321 and 641mm. Image size was reduced to 2000px wide and exported from Photoshop as a jpg at full quality (7). No noise reduction, color or other tweaks were made.

Well done. I am curious as to the launch area temperature? This just looks COLD! I have been spoiled by California winters. Again, these look good on the phone.

Wow. That is a powerful zoom. What is real pleasant, imo, is the more zoomed in, it turns more into an oil painting look, instead of pixels. I like the way these chips process the image. Nice flying!

Another example using Explorer. These are from the camera from 3.5 miles from downtown.
Took these on my first flight with the M3 just to see how well the zoom performed.
