Is it recommended to lock exposure or leave it on auto? After getting a 4k screen i can notice it changing when on auto. Just curious what you guys do.

Set it and forget it, these cameras usually can not make a smooth exposure change on their own (for the best possible image). Change exposure when you change angles on another clip. Live with what you get and correct if needed in post.
