I was wondering if Part 107 applies with respect to interference with a required crew member and would the penalties apply.

For example, a PIC is in flight and is interfered with by a member of the public or LE while operating the UAS. Interference in this case would be hindering the PIC from safely conducting the flight or its safe termination.

I have viewed several video's where in my layman's opinion, this has occurred. Are there any aviation attorney's or FSDO members that have had experience with this. I plan on calling my local FSDO to ask next week. It would be great to cool off an "aggressive joe" with the counsel that he/she could be charged with a Federal offense, I they interfere with the safe conduct of my flight.

interesting. does not matter if commercial or hobbyist. i should be a crime for even a cop to "bother" you while flying.

awaiting a reply. this could be very helpful for some. (saw a video about a crashed drone starting a grass fire, not the fault of the pilot. a couple dogs ran up to him).
