Just wanted to share this pdf report here I came across from the FAA....... Note page 29, last paragraph in regards to registration.

I found last section on page 30-31 interesting. 'A certificated UAS operator must carry the certificate, which is a plastic card with a unique certificate number and personally identifiable information.' Do they send the plastic cards?

Yes. You'll only receive such a card if you're flying commercially.

I remember reading when i registered that a digital copy was sufficient. I just kept a pdf on my phone l.

I believe that the US Appeals Court decided that this "was not legal" in requiring hobbyist to register their craft with the FAA.
This was May 17th I believe....See here:

Americans no longer have to register non-commercial drones with the FAA

Now, if you are flying for commercially/for money, well then you do have to be registered.
