DJI hasn't mentioned anything (even indirectly) about a new Mavic release. Everyone is just speculating at this point.

Very true but they are unlikely to leak anything. But the sharp discounts on the Pro are a healthy indication.

DJI only indirectly leaks new drones by scheduling big events and inviting all of the key players. Prior to those events, photos of the products to be announced are usually leaked by someone. We've seen neither at this point, so a new Mavic is probably not going to be here anytime soon.

The Mavic Pro is one of DJI's most popular consumer drones, so it would be a safe bet that they will release another version. The question is when will it be released.

DJI has the Mavic Pro II ready for production. They are not going to release it just because it is ready. They keep us interested by leaking photos and news about it. They are going to release it strategically to strengthen their position as a drone maker. When Autel or another competitor releases their drone, DJI will then announce the release to eliminate the competition. For Mavic Pro II release date, watch for announced release of Autel Evo or another competitor.

Every month someone says "the Mavic Pro 2 is coming out next month". It's not going to happen. It's called the AIR, there will be upgraded versions of it.
