I just finished another short video celebrating fall foliage in our local mountains. In autumn the conifers and oaks of the Laguna Mountains present a dazzling patchwork of green and gold. Leaves glisten in the October sunlight while woodpeckers and other birds busily prepare for the coming winter.

Nice colors. What a contrast in colors.
Here in Upstate, NY we have lots of Pileated woodpeckers and they can really damage to wood surrounding their targets. That includes old trees, young trees and utility poles.

Yeah, some woodpeckers can be really destructive to homes and other structures too.
