Thanks. I have been debating spending $300 on that or Premier Pro. I currently tinker between iMovie and Premier Elements and seems like iMovie works better so I may be leaning toward FCPX.
I'd say a powerful computer and Fcpx...i can stand by em since I have them...editing was a breeze

I have a macbook air 2016 with 8GB Ram. I also have a older macbook pro 2010 4GB Ram but from what I read the air I currently have will run it better than the pro. I also looked at the mac mini's but haven't decided.

try to find something apple with atleast 16gb ram.

I love those whirling, helical dissolves or cuts between some of the clips - really cool, and you placed them at really appropriate places. What are those called, anyway?
