Finally.... SDK for SC released

Litchi will probably be working nonstop for the next few weeks while they try to catch up with the DJI SC sdk. Wish the SC was all debugged already. Adding Litchi now might be an interesting project, and only recommended for the strong of heart and mind. I expect there to be a few (dozen) threads on here with associated setup problems.

It will be interesting to see how Litchi is handling the payment infrastructure problem.

Was/is there a problem?
Litchi is charging $$$ for each license.
Currently the payment infrastructure is handled by either Google Play Store or Amazon Store.
Will DJI allow Google or Amazon on the SC? Or is DJI creating it's own payment store?

Litchi should carefully select a secure method, otherwise bootleg copies of Litchi's software will be in the wild with a blink of an eye ...

Good points! Unfortunately, bootlegs are everywhere. Litchi has been out for at least 3 years , so if there were to be any bootlegs, they might have shown up already. With Litchi, if you dont have an account, it wont let you save the missions, so it would have limited functionality.

I’ve had success with Litchi on iPhone, but transitioned to Smart Controller to simplify droning. Ive been missing Litchi, and hope it’s available soon on Smart Controller.

You and many others as well. Thats been one of my major complaints about it, and why I have been advocating the CS over SC to people who use Litchi. Hopefully, the integration will work seemlessly.

The main reason I like Litchi is for one-shot dynamic events. I’m not good enough as a pilot to attempt some stuff fully-manual. So prefer to preplan (computer litchi-hub & google earth) the mission, then focus on camera.

If DJI allowed missions to be planned on computer, maybe I’d use that instead. But...

I totally agree! Think about how carefree you could plan your missions, and if something goes wrong with the app and caused a crash, DJI would cover the damage, and not claim that you were using a "3rd party app."

I think DJI has their hands full with creating new products, and supporting their existing ones. So often its the aftermarket companies that fill in the gaps, and make a good product even better. I know first hand!
