I like to tinker and I want to do something with my Firehouse LEDs other than use sticky tape and velcro to hold them on y drone. I want the easily removable and leaving no trace when not in use.

So, with those considerations, I'm designing a holder for them. Below is my first iteration. It needs work (everything is too thin).

The idea is there would be an elastic strap that goes through the eyelets, on each side, and a quick release buckle. The bottom of the holder would be rubberized so it doesn't slide.
The sides would be completely open to allow the most light to be seen. At the top and bottom the edges are tapered to match the taper on the edges of the lights. Theoretically they would be easy to get in and out of the holder but would stay in place when not removing them.

When I start printing the prototypes I'll use a colored extrusion but I have clear for when I do a final design.

I usually get all of my strobe light holders from here:

I wanted something different.
There are also a couple other versions out there on the 3d printer template websites.

What would be nice to have is holders that are adjustable to multiple different drones of different shapes and sizes but providing the necessary security to ensure these mounts don't come loose in flight. It would also be nice if there wasn't a unique mount for each position on the drone. I understand there's a difference between mounting lights on arms/legs vs the body vs elsewhere but I've ended up with a dozen of these and every drone I buy needs new mounts....and, for every type of strobe light. Perhaps DJI can attempt to standardize.....

Dji would never standardize. There's benefits to design changes.
Having said that, my plan was to use the strap to hold all three lights and put them on the body.

I realize there are benefits to putting the side lights further out but I have a plan for that too. I was going to add super reflective tape to my legs so the lights will flash a wider pattern on the drone.
