I like to tinker and I want to do something with my Firehouse LEDs other than use sticky tape and velcro to hold them on y drone. I want the easily removable and leaving no trace when not in use.
So, with those considerations, I'm designing a holder for them. Below is my first iteration. It needs work (everything is too thin).
The idea is there would be an elastic strap that goes through the eyelets, on each side, and a quick release buckle. The bottom of the holder would be rubberized so it doesn't slide.
The sides would be completely open to allow the most light to be seen. At the top and bottom the edges are tapered to match the taper on the edges of the lights. Theoretically they would be easy to get in and out of the holder but would stay in place when not removing them.
When I start printing the prototypes I'll use a colored extrusion but I have clear for when I do a final design.
