Hey guys first time poster long time lurker... Recently my mavic pro got locked by DJI, assuming because I'm running an older version of both firmware and software. I have researched the dumldore method but before I go any further I had a couple questions!

The reason I haven't updated DJI go is the warning they give about signing in before flight & otherwise limited flight range. 99% of my flights are in very remote areas where there is obviously no cell or data service, so I have opted to run an older version for the software. Am I right for doing this?

Yesterday I went out flying (last time was ~2 weeks ago on the opposite side of the country) and when I get out there mavic pro is locked. I drive back to service to update app, which fails over and over again around 70%. So now I'm unsure of my DJI version and want to download a safe APK for my Android. What version should I download?

Will I need to change the firmware on my controller and mavic, or just the software and unlock the aircraft with dumldore??

Thanks

Maybe state all the app and firmware versions you were on since it doesn't really make sense, there has never been an aircraft lock for the Mavic Pro that we know of.

Not really. This means you need to sign in once when you install the app and that's it. Doesn't mean you'll need any connection later on.

Ah! Perfect! So it sounds like my fears were for nothing & I will just download latest DJI go and upgrade any firmware requirements.

I thought it was so strange when it gave me aircraft locked error message... But it definitely happened!

I'm unsure of how to check my DJI go version but I did downgrade it a couple months ago because I was having visual transmission issues with an updated version of the software. Hopefully that has been fixed with the latest and greatest...

Thank you for the fast reply!

Sometimes happens but it's a flike and just rebooting everything makes it disappear.

I was more interested in the aircraft and RC firmware versions.

Rebooting definitely did shite for me

If I plug the mavic into Windows PC I should be able to find the firmware version & let you know. The message I was getting from DJI go was that I needed to update dji go to unlock.
