Firmware in relation to waranty

I have been advised that if you don't use latest firmware version , then in case of an issue DJI ,do not covers drone waranty ! Is this correct ?

No that is wrong. DJI cannot force you to do firmware updates as part of the warranty. About the only thing that they can complain about is if you reverted back to an older version than the one that came with your Mavic. Even that is going to be an argument I am sure they do not want to get into with a customer since it is not mentioned on the warranty.

Good. Because I'm reluctant to upgrade firmware. My mavic has worked perfectly out of the box and I don't wanna **** it up

While dji leaves the option to choose between ceveral firmwares in their own software, there no chance in the world that they could make that void your warrant, that wouldn't stick, not even by Chinese standards in doing business.

That's right ! That was my initial thought ! But after this today I decide to make that post

Ah. It's best to let DJI advise on important topics like this. A lot of misinformed people are out there spreading incorrect information.

As others have noted above, firmware updates are always optional. It's usually a great idea to install them after they are known to be stable, but you don't have to install them.
