Hi,

I've looked through the threads and haven't seen this issue before. When I try to update my new Mavic Pro 2 I keep getting an error message.

I noticed a few people on other blogs had the same issue and have recommended using assisatant 2 but I'm still getting the error message below:

Any idea what I can do to update? this update has the Hyperlapse feature on it

Make sure you have the correct DJI Assistant for the Mavic 2 from there website.

Reboot everything, have a good internet connection, keep trying!

I've tried resetting it a few times and so far no joy! Here's the error message I'm getting on the phone:

I've heard that a factory reset might work but have no idea on how to do it? Any ideas how to factory reset?

I've had the worse luck updating these drones. My OG Mavic would never update via the phone app. Had to go through DJI assistant, and the trick to it was to update via the RC. Plugging it to the PC.

With the Mavic 2, it was a no go via the phone app. So I did it via the RC, with the DJI assistant application. ( Make sure it's the one specifically for the Mavic 2). The thing now is that updating via the RC, it will not update the drone. You have to do each separately.

I'm in the same boat, fresh out of the box today/charged the batteries, gone to update via the app, and get an error message, tried on 2 laptops with a fresh install of assistant 2 (for the Mavic 2) using the long flat wire tjat comes wirh it and it gets to 24% and fails....also tried on an iPad, gets to 20% and fails!

I've gone through 2 batteries today trying to update and having no joy, seriously thinking of returning it for this reason unless I can find a solution pretty soon.

I never had any issues when previously updating my OG Mavic. Worst out of the box technology I've ever owned is the MP 2

As I posted above i had problems useing the phone then changed over to my. Pc tried different leads then used the one in kit and it went in first time just make sure you battery's are full

Ive managed to update it now. I deleted the assistant 2 and re-installed it. It worked first time!

I think their servers are suffering load issues.
I updated the Mavic 1 yesterday and the same issue "Network Disconnected" error on Go4 that the Mavic 2 was getting (have never previously seen it before on M1).
I THINK that Go4 has a much shorter timeout setting for the download so drops out far more than DJI assistant.
At times Go4 was dropping to 3-4k/second and during this slow bit it dropped.
Assistant was as slow but didn't time out so worked, albeit taking 25 minutes to download a 250mb file instead of 20 seconds.

I'm having the same problem with updated my firmware as well... I'm using an android phone and I think that's why it wont update..
I downloaded dji assistant 2 on the computer and updated the actual drone. But when I link up my phone to controller and says firmware update it gets to 3% and I get the network error message, restart equipment and try again later... well I kept trying for hrs yesterday, still NO SUCCESS.
Any tips for android users???

Update the RC with Assistant 2 as well....

Ya I tried updating the remote yesterday after I did the drone but it wasnt recognizing the remote was plugged in... I'll try again today... after trying for hours yesterday i gave up...

Make sure drone is off - RC must not be connected to drone.
Then plus into using the side USB port and power it on.

Just had my first flight with my pro smooth and all software show upto date doing the updates with my pc running windows 10

Ahhh that's what I was doing wrong yesterday... the drone was still on when I was trying to update the remote....
Well the remote got down to 58% so right now I'm charging it before I start trying to update the remote...
