My mini 5 Pro had a firmware update today. It didn't seem to be that large as it only took a few minutes. No indication as to what the firmware was for. Perhaps it was updating the DJI Fly App in the controller for a different drone. Not sure.
Maybe they finally changed their minds, and decided to not to broadcast RID with the standard battery, and will restore the deleted statement regarding same to the English version of the User Manual! Not! LOL!My mini 5 Pro had a firmware update today. It didn't seem to be that large as it only took a few minutes. No indication as to what the firmware was for. Probably not but would be nice to get confirmationMaybe they finally changed their minds, and decided to not to broadcast RID with the standard battery, and will restore the deleted statement regarding same to the English version of the User Manual! Not! LOL!
That's interesting. Firmware is the same as above. It definitely did a firmware update. I have been flying it all week and I have been checking for new firmware every couple of days so it seems strange I would get one but it wouldn't register with a different number.Nothing for mine. What version did it update to?
Mine is currently on -
Mini 5 Pro 01.00.0300
RC2 08.00.0000
Fly 1.19.0
Same thing happened to me the other day. It said aircraft firmware was updating, but the version stayed the same. That's interesting. Firmware is the same as above. Have you got Model Auto-Update enabled. That will install model updates automatically that are updates but not full firmware updates. There wouldn’t be a firmware increment for that.
I’m never a first day updater.
They didn't announce the turning on of RID either, after the original owner's manual explicitly stated it would be off. They also denied they had turned it on! Never trust DJI regarding their updates. They insert Trojan Horses with anti-rollback, and when caught, just say, "So sorry."Probably not but would be nice to get confirmation
That's how they hide changes. The only clue will be the date of the upload. That's interesting. Firmware is the same as above. It definitely did a firmware update. With DJI fly running. Profile, Settings. Partway down the first page (Firmware Updates).where is this setting?
We definitely need a positive control here so please report back when you test the plus battery.Using the Drone Scanner Android app, my Mini 5 Pro does not show up when using the standard battery. I haven't checked it with the Plus battery yet. I purchased the Mini 5 Pro on Amazon in the US a couple weeks ago.
Is the Drone Scanner app reliable? Is there a better one to try?We definitely need a positive control here so please report back when you test the plus battery.
It's the only one I've used and I haven't had any problems with it. I suggested a positive control in your situation because your results are the opposite to what others have experienced. Is the Drone Scanner app reliable? Is there a better one to try?
Yeah, I thought that was odd, too. I was using a Mini 4 Pro standard battery when I checked it. I was actually looking for other drones in the area, as it was near an event that others might be shooting. I will try it with the M5P standard battery, and M4P standard and Plus batteries and report back here. It's the only one I've used and I haven't had any problems with it. Unfortunately, lack of detection does not definitively establish not broadcasting RID.Yeah, I thought that was odd, too. I was using a Mini 4 Pro standard battery when I checked it.
