Un-install the DJI GO app from the phone.
Re-install DJI GO app and update firmware.

Hope this works.

Physically connect the cable to the Mavic 2 pro, and connect the other end of the cable to a USB port on your computer, make sure that the USB on your computer is a high speed port (3.0), usually one of the port on the back on the mother board will work), power up the drone, then start up the app on the computer, the app has to recon the drone is connect. DO NOT FORGET TO LOGIN TO THE DJI APPLICATION WITH YOUR DJI CREDITIALS. before you try to do the update, Just because you connect, do not mean that the firmware update will work, you have to login to the application. I have did several firmware updates, and have had issues lots of times with DJI firmware updates,

I did get an error, but then I hit the retry...and the update finish...the second time.
with no errors.

I had to calibrate my compass on my drone, which was easy, just follow the prompts on your pad.

I notice that doing it this way, it works for me every time
