This was my first 4K video taken with the Mini 2. It took considerably longer to process and upload with around 3 times the gigabytes over 1080P. I'm using a Macbook Air with iMovie so maybe that explains the slowness. To be honest I canot tell any difference between 1080P and 4K, but maybe younger eyes can tell the difference.

Absolute stunning video clarity , looks amazing on my widescreen .
there is a big difference in 1080 footage as that looks really bad on bigger screens.

I have found that 2K is the sweet spot for most video footage to really Pop like this one.
and this was well worth the effort , great flying.

Hi Jim,
oh yes, 4k looks way better. The image is more crisply and the details are also way better. Especially on a bigger screen. Ok, the processing is longer but I think it is worth! I am always delighted when you show the amazing desertic landscapes, thanks for sharing ???
cheers Paul

Thanks guys. I flew 4 batteries out there and this video was all from the first battery. Ended up with 38 gigabytes, way more than normal and approached the storage limits of my MacBook Air, could only download the first 2 flights. This area is fantastic geologically. The colorful rocks are actually calcified shifting sand dunes (180mya) and some of the Aztec sandstone walls are vertical for over 2000'! I flew 2 packs along the vertical wall transition zone between red and white stone and will post it next week. Anyone coming to Vegas should make a side trip to Red Rock Canyon and experience this area.

4K definitely looks better, but since it is so crispy, you should add some motion blur to make it look more natural.
Or by using the ND filters or in post.

Nice and thanks for sharing.

Beautiful, crisp and clear video.

There's no denying 4k looks amazing, particularly on a big screen. However, I believe many (most?) people use smaller devices to view videos these days and the advantage goes away.

Up until fairly recently I haven't been able to either shoot or process 4k video, so I'm still experimenting and learning. I'm leaning towards shooting in 4k and then publishing in either 1080 or 2k.
