First weak signal auto return

Beautiful weather!! Only a 4 mph wind at 300 ft with gusts at 7 mph wow. Ran thru 3 batteries today. Two at a friends house in the country and halfway into the first batt I got the weak signal adjust (ant. i guess cause message disappeared ) When it came back the second time I no longer had control and it performed a RTH flawlessly. On the second battery again got the same message, but no auto land. Came home and flew the third batt. much higher and father away with no signal loss whatsoever. For me higher and farther was (don't laugh I'm still learning) 275ft and 400ft out, I'm getting more use to using the app, compass, ect, quite a rush depending on the screen for the information on direction and location of the drone. I am getting the coordination using using the sticks together in sync to make the drone fly smoothly.. I'm very glad I've started with this drone as opposed to a more powerful one because of the wind it's forcing me to take small steps and to learn all the functions slowly.

Getting used to the MM and flying in low winds and VLOS as you get experience is key.

You mention weak signal and that you are up 275 -300 ft fairly close to you 400 ft. Wondering if possibly you need to rotate the controller and/or the antenna so the flat broad part (not the tip) of your antennas point up towards the MM for the strongest signal. Makes a big difference even though the mini is fairly close to you. There is almost no signal radiated or received from the tips.

I'm using a mount for my ipad and I've notice that I also have a bad habit of letting the transmitter drop some. I should rotate the angle of the mount to maybe try to get that perfect angle of the antennas. Thanks.
